Message to Campus from President Michael Benson
Dear EKU Faculty, Staff, and Students:
Eastern Kentucky University offers a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for students, faculty, staff, alumni and visitors.
International students and employees greatly enrich the campus community. Our University is host to students from more than 45 countries and, whether you hail from Kentucky or from halfway around the globe, everyone connected with the University is welcome to experience our unique educational and cultural opportunities.
Given the recent events of the past few days, we are closely monitoring the immigration issues and policies which could affect our students, faculty and staff. We are working to assist students and employees with their concerns, and the Office of International Student and Scholar Services offers additional guidance on international study at EKU.
Our University is in the heart of the Commonwealth, but we offer learning opportunities across borders, and remain committed to the immeasurable value of promoting international learning and educating our students to be productive global citizens.
I hope you will join me in our continued efforts to create an environment where every single member of our EKU community feels safe and welcome.
